31st March of Dimes Rally Four Wheelin' With Feelin' is October 3rd & 4th this year at Northwoods Overland Park. Jeff and I are thinking about putting this run on our calendar.

I know, that is part of my decision making process for the 4th of July run. Hmmm...decisions, decisions....

I just wanted to post out that some of my buddies and I just spent a couple of days up there helping Jeremy cut some new trails. We had a great time and Jeremy is a great guy. He is really working hard to make some tougher trails and from what we helped him with I'd say he is doing a great job. We ran the first part of his new orange trail and helped him cut the rest of it that he had laid out already and it was definately a challenge. Lots of tight turns and suspension flexing. We had his CJ-7, my CJ-7 and my buddies ZJ. It was a bit of challenge to get the ZJ through but we did do it (although it did have some extra panel damage buy the time we were done).

It's a nice relaxing atmosphere and I would recommend everyone to go check it out.

Awesome, that sounds like a lot of fun. WE might have to add this to the list!

I would if I were you. He has two differant Scramble areas one of which has a tire pit and a Car that you can drive on. He also has a log ladder climb and is working on making a good sized rock pile for climbing on.

Some thing I want to point out too is that Jeremy and his wife have been doing this on there own (to the best of my knowledge). This is not a state funded park or some big corporate thing. Just an ambitious couple who are pouring there heart and soul into something they love. The more poeple that get out there and show there support (staying at the camp and wheeling in the park) the more chance they have of being successful.

I think that Gillian is correct, the perfect time to do this run is when the March of Dimes rally is going on. That way, people have plenty of time to prepare for it and it will also be for a great cause.

Just my two cents.

We were up there on the 4th and had a great time. Other than our group we only saw one other truck on the trail.
The trails are tight for a full size, but I made it thru everything but the orange trail with my Chevy, I did have a little body damage but that was expected. Huck ran the orange trail with his XJ and lost his mirrors so I would say that one is to tight for a full size.

They have a real nice campground and are very nice people and are trying to get this thing up and running, if we don't support them I am not sure how long they will last up there.

I would recomend everyone check it out if only on a day trip.

We've been going there for since last year...we go there 2 times a year. This year we went memorial weekend. Jeremy ended up puttin my truck on its side with the skidder tryin to get us out because we broke the 3 bolts that hold your steering boomerang on. we have also donated tires and a car for ppl to crush up there. We have been givin him feedback everytime we go. We are going Sept 26 this year because that's the last time he's open to public.

What about October 3rd and 4th? I thought there was a March of Dimes run (that I really wanted to go on)

I don't think the MOD run is considered open to the public. Just a guess.

It is but yet it isn't. I just know it costs way more that weekend and we really don't have that kinda money even though it's for a very good cause. I think he ends it in septemeber so that in October that weekend he doesn't get a huge group to show up that doesn't wanna be in the march of dimes.
