I took a toyota truck bed there and got $4! Pretty sure I was getting screwed as the three guys in the office were all smirking as I got paid. I was just glad to get it gone and get out. Grrrrrr. So, anyone know of a place to take scrap metal? Somewhere around Jefferson county, please.

I hauled it all to Whitewater. They were paying a little more than in Fort. I got just under $100 for 2500lbs of steel. Sucks, but I have it gone, finally.

New DAQ:
So, I'm thinking of replacing my a/c compressor on my intrigue. Is it a simple part swap? or do I have to get the whole system recharged? All I know is one day the A/C just stopped all together and the compressor don't spin. I monkey-ed with the wires, checked the fuses, and come to the conclusion it must be the compressor. Anyone have any experience with A/C repair?

Yeah you will have to get it recharged after replacing the compressor. I have done some a/c work and I am certified to do it. :D

Bluecrew, I'd definitely get someone who knows what they are doing (like F'n 250) look at it before just swapping out parts. The compressor may be fine, but there are pressure switches in the system that may be bad or you might have a bad relay or some such thing. Why spend more money than you have to?

Good thinking Orion. I just had one today that needs new clutch and field. A lot cheaper than compressor. And don't have to evac and recharge the system.

Well, then. I guess I'll have to set up a time to swing on out to whitewater and maybe you can help me figure out what's wrong with it. I don't know cars, just old trucks and beer. Just need to know three things:
1. Are you interested in such an event?
2. What day/time would work for you?
3. What's you prefered flavor of beer?

We should switch to PM's before the hijack police chase me down and beat me again. LOL!
